Set in the Pyrenean foothills, this region (split into two districts, the Pallars Jussà and the Pallars Sobirà) remains relatively undiscovered by foreigners and, outside of the ski season, local tourists as well, and so provides the perfect setting for independent holidaymakers looking to get away from it all.
However, this does not mean there is nothing to do. Far from it: we have little or no wish for you to go stir-crazy with cabin fever. To prevent any such thing, the area are provides a wide variety of leisure options to keep you all (relatively) sane: swimming in local lakes, kayaking, climbing, horse riding, hikes, cycle rides, guided walks revealing the abundance of local fauna and flora, and much, much more.
As always, the accommodation offered here has been carefully chosen by us. Please note that their owners are ecologically-aware creatures, and would thus ask that you behave accordingly: separating refuse for recycling, turning off lights in unused areas, not throwing broken iPods down the toilet… that kind of thing.
We offer two neighbouring houses in the area: both provide tasteful self-contained accommodation for eight and twelve, respectively, and both sympathetically converted in a rustic yet uncheesy style from traditional farmhouses.
If you want to check out exactly where these houses are, go to Google Maps and enter the words “Peramea, Catalonia”. The houses are just south of the town.
