The Priorat region of Southern Catalonia is ideal for those groups, families or couples with different interests, or indeed for those individuals with a split personality. Why? Well, on the one hand, it provides the perfect playground for those sporty types amongst you: natural parks to hike in, one of Europe’s top rock climbing areas, reservoirs to kayak in, mountain stream rock pools to skinny–dip in, trails to mountain bike on and much, much more.
For those of you with a more hedonistic or cultural nature, the Priorat is also home to some of Spain's finest wines, as evidenced by the vineyards draped over its steep–sided hills, small old towns (housing fine restaurants and more modest, yet tasty eateries), ruined abbeys and quaint locals.
Lacking large-scale tourist infrastructure, the area still remains relatively unspoilt, allowing you to be the very first on your dinner party circuit to boast about “this charming little corner of Spain that I discovered…”, etc.
This old mill house has been divided into four separate units with different capacities, each with their own living room, fully–equipped kitchen and bathroom, and cosy bedrooms. This means that it can house anything from a couple to large groups of families and/or friends. If your group is of the latter variety, it has the particular advantage of allowing you to dine together (including outside in the summer), when you are feeling sociable, or separately in your own house when you feel like a bit of privacy.
