(morning/afternoon)

We take the train just outside Barcelona (5 min) and follow a cycling path which runs alongside to the sea. On the way we pass several villages, some of whose buildings feature stunning modernista facades and a number of beach bars (xiringuitos) which we could well be convinced to stop at, if asked very nicely, for a cool frosty one and a couple of tapas. The ride is flat and gentle, with no real hills. Depending upon how tired you are, or how many drinks and/or tapas have been consumed, we can either cycle back or take the train (which runs along the beach)

Practical details: we take the train from Barcelona to Badalona/we cycle (we provide city bike) or take he train back

WHEN: every day except Sunday from 10 to 2 or from 4 to 8

MEETING POINT:right at the back of the church Santa Maria del Mar, at the beginning of Passeig del Born

PRICE: €130 per group - hire bicycle: €11 pp - optional : helmet: €2 pp - insurance (needs to be asked for in advance): €2 pp.
